Neutral choice of media reviews about the performances Irina Zahharenkova:
This young pianist, born in 1976, is the tenth woman that wins this competition and the first Estonian who does it. /.../ The Jury of the competition, under the chairmanship of Guillermo González, has awarded her with the first prize because of her performance of Chopin’s Concierto número 1 en mi menor, Opus 11. This first prize consists on € 18,000, a three concerts tour in Andalusia, and a gold medal. The Estonian pianist has also received another two of the six awards of the competition. She has been awarded with the ‘Música Contemporánea’ prize (€ 3000) for her performance of Marina, by Eneko Vadillo Pérez; and she has received the ‘Trofeo del Público’ award, given by the public that attended the final. (Goldberg, Spain)
(Maris Valk-Falk, Sirp, 16.04.10, Estonia, whole article)
Irina Zahharenkova sooloõhtu tegi erakordsuseks see, et ta suutis õhtu jooksul pakkuda kõrgtasemel esinemist kolmel erineval klahvpillil – klavessiinil, haamerklaveril ja tänapäevasel kontsertklaveril. /.../ Haydni võluvalt lühike Sonaat G-duur kõlas koguni kolm korda – kõikidel laval olnud klahvpillidel. Tore mõte, demonstreerimaks kujukalt üleminekut klavessiiniajastult klaveriajastule! Ikka imetletakse Zahharenkova erilisust süüvimisel vanemasse muusikasse. Beethoveni sonaadi esitus kinnitas, et noore pianisti tugeva dramaturgilise vaistu taga kumab mõndagi avastuslikku. (Alo Põldmäe, Sirp, 31.07.09; Estonia, whole article)
Kolmandaks Mozarti teoseks sel kontserdil oli populaarne klaverikontsert A-duur KV 488, kus soleeris eesti-soome pianist ja klavessinist Irina Zahharenkova. Solist esitas oma osa kergelt ja meisterlikult, kuid kuulmismeelele mõjus karedana /.../ kontsertklaveri kolisev kõla... (Mart Jaanson, Sirp, 05.08.11, Estonia, whole article)
...malbe olemisega nooruke pianist, on kaugel enese eksponeerimisest. (Brigitta Davidjants, Eesti Ekspress, Estonia, whole article)
(Lilian Langsepp, Muusika, 8–9/2008, Estonia)
Tavaliselt imetletakse Zahharenkova võimet süüvida vanemasse muusikasse. Beethoveni op 14 nr 2 sonaadi esitus kinnitas, et noore pianisti tugev dramaturgiline vaist võib ka teiste ajastute muusikasse tuua mõndagi avastuslikku. (Alo Põldmäe, Muusika, 09 / 2009, Estonia)
